Do you believe in life after death? Have you ever experienced a near-death experience or know someone who has?
Today we’re talking about the lessons that can be learned from the other side – the spirits of our ancestors, sharing gifts from the other side, that we can implement in our lives in order to live the life we all truly deserve.
Micky Havelock is a spiritual medium and intuitive coach, working for many years with her mediumship in public demonstrations and private readings. In her capacity as an intuitive coach, Micky helps others to connect with themselves, bringing a deeper understanding of self, and helping them to gain confidence to go on to achieve their aspirations.
Meet Micky Havelock
Micky not only works with spirit through her work, but also through her own personal experience. You see, in 2014, Micky’s heart stopped, literally. While the medical staff raced to save her life, Micky was already gone, enjoying the calmest yet most exhilarating experience of her life, visiting the other side.
Her journey to the other side reunited her with her passed loved ones, and also taught her some serious lessons, that if you’re listening today, were meant to hear.
As Micky shared these lessons with me, I knew I they were just what I needed to hear. That’s why I’m so excited for you too to learn these lessons from the other side.
So, let’s dive right in!
Understanding the Connection to the Other Side
During her visit to the other side, Micky was reminded and shown that we are all connected… to EVERYTHING. That includes the other side. She learned that it’s our birth-right to understand and feel this connection for everything is there; every answer to every question we could ever have.
She recommends you think about what it is you want and need to know, and then put it out to the Universe. Essentially, you’re asking the Universe for answers, or guidance.
The key now is to be open to receive, for your answer will arrive. You can’t control how it comes, or what the answer will be. Sometimes it’s not what we expect or think we wanted, so we’re quick to brush it off. But Micky reminds us to trust and surrender to the response.
Some common ways we’ve received answers, both Micky and I, are through conversations with others, a set television program or radio show, or through reading a passage in a book.
Have you ever asked the Universe, or perhaps been in a conversation with someone about needing help with something, and the next thing you know you’re being introduced to someone who happens to be able to help?
Many people call this a coincidence. Neither Micky nor I believe in coincidences. These are answers to those calls to help.
The Other Side Reminds Us to Forgive
Forgiveness is a huge topic and we could go on for days on this one. But after her encounter with the other side, Micky understands that forgiveness isn’t about forgiving the action, especially when that action caused great pain.
Rather, forgiveness is about letting go of the hurt, anger and pain, for YOURSELF. As Micky says, forgive and remove them.
The other side also taught Micky that in order to move forward, let go and forgive, you need a certain amount of understanding of the person you’re forgiving. This is the understanding that they are making choices to be who they are and behaviour the way they are behaving because of their life experiences. Their behaviour has been created. That fact doesn’t excuse that behaviour, but it allows us to free ourselves from it, and them.
The Lesson of Self-Discovery, from the Other Side
This is another topic that we could speak about for ages, no doubt. Micky herself had to go on a journey of self-discovery after returning from the other side. This journey involves getting to know your true, authentic self. That includes your flaws, barriers you’ve erected, hurts, and your own part in your lives, including all your self-sabotage.
The other side reminded Micky that we spend all our time looking outward, casting blame when things are not the way we expect or want. We blame others for where we are in life, and then we look to others to fix it.
Micky bluntly but lovingly tells us that whomever we’re turning to will inevitably fall short because someone else can’t make us happy or give us what it is we’re looking for. That can only be found within.
More from this episode
Micky shares so much more in this episode, such as the unconditional love, sense of calm, and beauty that she felt while visiting the other side, and how she felt rejected once she came back. She’s being honest with us about feeling like she wasn’t good enough to stay on the other side, and how that impacted her life upon her return. She also shares, with great comedy, what it was like to awaken from her experience in the middle of heart surgery!
This is an incredible episode that is filled with so much hope, and laughter. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
